Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory

Introduction

Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory (AML) is placed at the department of mechanical engineering at Sharif University of Technology. In this lab, we aim to utilize and develop high-precision and high-tech fabrication techniques for applications such as nanomedicine, dental aligners, metamaterials, and shape memory polymers. Fused deposition modeling (FDM), Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) Printing, digital light processing (DLP), and liquid crystal display (LCD) are the techniques used for these goals. We also simulate and model multiphysics processes associated with the mentioned techniques using softwares like COMSOL.

Rapid Prototyping Center

Introduction

Rapid Prototyping Center (RPC) is placed at the department of mechanical engineering at Sharif University of Technology. This center has been established with the aim of creating a workshop for manufacturing components, with a focus on 3D printing technology. In this center, various complex components needed by students, professors, and innovative companies can be produced. The center, in addition to FDM printers in various dimensions and methods, is equipped with a diverse range of resin printers, capable of producing components from rigid polymers to elastomers. Students can use this center for the implementation of their practical and industrial projects.
