Biography

As I aged, I was always passionate about math and science. It was my hobby to play with numbers and find facts about my surroundings. For example, I loved solving Sudoku or measuring the time that was needed for each of my toy cars to pass the carpet in my bedroom. All of these led me to choose mathematics and physics as my major in high school. In high school, I found chemistry as interesting as math and physics. I wanted to choose a major for my bachelor’s degree that was a combination of these courses and creativity, so I chose Mechanical engineering. I was accepted into the University of Tehran. After finishing my bachelor’s degree, I studied hard to be accepted for the master’s degree, and I ranked 7th in the applied design field among all the mechanical engineers in Iran who participated in the nationwide university entrance exam (Konkur) in 2021. In September 2021, I started my study at Sharif University of Technology as a master’s degree student.

I always knew that my main interest is researching and working in academia, and I prefer it to industrial workplaces. I get enjoyment out of working with other researchers and students, and I prefer an academic atmosphere to work in. However, I believe that the research done in my field must solve a problem for the industry because my major is engineering.

In the future, I want to work as a faculty member and a researcher at a university because academic tasks are much more interesting for me. Also, I believe that more practical research must be done in the engineering field, especially those which can solve an issue for the industry. In my point of view, the universities in my country lack this kind of research, and as a result, there are a lot of unsolved problems in the industry in Iran. Therefore, I hope I can solve some of these issues by becoming a faculty member.
