Project Brief & Objectives

  • Goal: Design an adjustable seating solution for children with cerebral palsy that adapts to individual postural needs.
  • Clinical input: Iterated requirements with therapists (seat depth/width, back support angles, lateral supports, headrest options).
  • Constraints: Low-cost components, modularity, ease of cleaning, compatibility with standard mobility bases.

My Role

  • Led concept generation and parametric CAD of the seat, back, and support assemblies.
  • Coordinated clinician feedback sessions and translated feedback into design changes.
  • Prepared manufacturing drawings, tolerancing, and 3D printed verification parts.
