Multi-phase flow is an exciting and under developing subject of fluid mechanics. This field has a wide range of applications in industries such as Petrochemical and Thermal Power Industries. In academic approach, investigation of flow patterns, pressure drop, analytical modeling of flow, heat transfer, boiling ,condensation and many other related subjects have become important. SMFRG -Sharif Multi-Phase Flow Research Group- was established in April 2007 in response to the critical and essential issues in two-phase fluid flow, especially for oil and gas applications. Now, place of test-rig and group room is in thermodynamic laboratory in the school of Mechanical Engineering of Sharif University and is under continuous progress .

Pedram Hanafizadeh currently is a PhD candidate in mechanical engineering at Sharif University of Technology (SUT), Tehran, Iran. He set up and operated a test rig for Gas- Liquid two phase flows and constructed the Large Scale Multiphase Flow Laboratory (LSMFL) during the period of his PhD. Also he started the Multiphase Flow Research Group at School of Mechanical engineering which is supervised with Professor Saidi. He is studying on the two phase flow experimentally, numerically and analytically. His topics of interest are related to the industrial and applicable usage of two phase flow such as Airlift pump and Thermosyphon. His e-mail addresses is firstname.lastname@example.org
